The firm was founded by John Carter, formerly Chief Engineer at Bose and lead inventor of the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones, who handed me the reins as CEO in 2025.

Founded and backed by Sid Sijbrandij — founder of GitLab. I worked directly with him for three years, running DoubleGDP with many of the methods he pioneered at GitLab: remote-first, async by default, a culture built on documentation rather than meetings and centered on a company handbook. This radical transparency and powerful “everybody can contribute” philosophy has deeply shaped how I think about leading teams.

• Built an all-remote team of 20, with operations in Africa, LATAM, and the US. Raised $4M.
